A pair of Utah businesses went the extra mile to help the state’s homeless concerns. Ibarra Business Group and Murdock Hyundai teamed up recently to donate $100,000 to The Other Side Academy. This Salt Lake City based vocational school program covers the entire state and is geared toward teaching the homeless the skills needed to get back on their feet, according to the Utah Daily Herald. The director of the academy, Dave Durocher, said its students are “breaking generational cycles of poverty, criminal behavior, addiction and they’re reuniting with their families.”
