The benefits of joining UASD

Are you responsible for leading a special district? If so, consider becoming a member of the Utah Association of Special Districts. The UASD is dedicated to advocating for and strengthening special districts by providing services and support to district members. It’s the only statewide association representing all types of districts When you enroll, you automatically gain access to a variety of services that can support your community (and your community’s future), including education and training, legislative advocacy and useful online resources.

Our goals:

• Promote the proper and efficient operation of all Local Districts and Special Service Districts in the State of Utah.
• Assist Districts in fulfilling their respective Missions in an effective manner.
• Help government and public officials better understand the missions of Local Districts and Special Service Districts.
• Promote Local District and Special Service District awareness.
• Provide training to board members, management and staff.
• Provide legislative input and advocacy.
• Provide updates of current laws and regulations.

• Video resources for public education
• Legal hotline
• And more

Even if you aren’t responsible for leading a special district, you can still get involved. In fact, our Associate Member program is designed specifically for local business owners. When you become an associate member, we feature your company’s logo (and a link to your website) in our Member Area. This helps you maintain visibility and allows you to build relationships with fellow businesses across the state.

We don’t stop there, though. Once you’ve become a UASD associate member, you can submit information regarding your company, such as services provided, pictures that reflect your company’s branding, and your contact information. As an associate member, you’re also invited to participate in the UASD Annual Convention as a vendor. The 2022 UASD Convention will be held November 2-4 at the Davis Conference Center.
