On Wednesday, HB 326 was made public. If you have not yet reviewed the bill, you may want to do so. There are major problems with the bill, that will affect all districts. Next Tuesday, we will be meeting with the bill sponsor, Representative Thurston, and Representative Fawson, who was involved in the drafting of the bill to discuss our concerns with the bill.
Although a formal position will be established on the bill at the UASD meeting at the Capitol next Tuesday at noon, we have established an initial position of OPPOSE and are proceeding accordingly. Here is the bill link for your convenience:
