Here’s how we can help you

As a local or special service district, you have a specific mission you were meant to fulfill. You may be fighting to continue to provide high-quality services in street lighting, keeping your district’s animal control population under control, maintaining cemeteries, and providing your citizens adequate fire protection.

No matter your district’s objective, we are here to walk alongside you and give you a hand, so you never feel like you’re fighting alone.

What we do

• We’re here to keep you informed and up-to-date on all current changes in legislation that affect your district and the people you serve.
• We’re here to provide training and resources for you, your board, management, and staff, to learn how to build effective relationships with your legislators.
• We hold an annual November convention and also provide local, rural training to make it more accessible to you.
• We’re here to lobby against certain bills that would harm your district, while pushing for helpful bills to be passed.
• We talk to your government and public officials about what you do and what you need, so they can better understand how you run, how you’re organized, and how they can best help you.
