The UASD list of “Boxcar” bill files presents “bills in process” that may have some impact upon districts. These files were opened as of the bill-filing deadline at noon on Thursday, February 1st. A boxcar is a bill file opened with a title and name of a legislator without any text in the bill. Boxcars can be “filled” and rolled out at any time. As a result, we follow these items carefully in order to quickly assess their potential impact upon districts.
