As individuals or organizations, people want to be represented accurately, fairly and in good light. They will go to great lengths to make sure that they are understood and perceived accurately by others. It can be disconcerting if they discover that they have been misunderstood or misrepresented.
One of the missions at the Utah Association of Special Districts is to provide legislative input and advocacy. We have the best interest of every special service district of Utah at heart, and our goal is to make sure everyone is represented fairly in legislature. We lobby to eliminate bills that go against the interest of special service districts and promote helpful legislation.
But we do more than that. We not only help special districts educate legislators about the importance of the services these districts are providing, but we also help educate the general public about the role of special districts. Working to provide services from transportation to sewage, special service districts are committed to helping the residents in their districts. And the UASD is committed to helping special districts do just that.
If you are a part of a special service district in the great state of Utah and aren’t being accurately or fairly represented in legislature, let the UASD help you get the representation and lobbying you deserve.
