We love Utah

We can’t say it enough: We love Utah! At UASD, we hope that spirit comes through in our support of Utah’s special and local districts and of all they do to make this state great.

As a new year begins, it’s fitting to give you some reasons to believe, too. That’s why we’ve compiled a few third-party kudos that others gave Utah in 2016. We’d like to think we played at least a small part in it all. More importantly, these accolades serve as motivation to protect what we have. Here are a few examples of the honors Utah earned in the past 12 months:

• Forbes again named Utah the best state for business. For the sixth time in seven years, we topped the list for our business-friendly climate, low energy costs and low unemployment rate.
• According to Livability, St. George, Utah, is a great place to raise a family. Among other factors, our state ranked highly for its natural beauty, including Zion National Park; an average 300 days of sunshine; and the many activities available to families.
• We’re especially proud of this one: the Central Utah Water Conservancy District (CUWCD) took top honors for the best-tasting water in the region at the recent American Water Works Association. CUWCD will soon compete for the organization’s national title.

There are many other reasons we’re proud to call Utah home. Hearing from others who feel the same way is especially satisfying. We’ll do our best in the coming months to continue our winning streak.
